Here is what we know about the XB-600 Elite Electric Bicycle. It is classified as power assisted bicycle so it is legal for most folks to ride without a license just about anywhere in the United States.

The electric bike is capable of carrying two riders, is powered by a 600 watt brushless motor (mounted in the rear hub), and sports up to 4 20 amp hour batteries. The system runs at 48 volts DC which is considered to be pretty safe by most folks.
So how powerful is it? Not so much. Your average hair dryer is 1500 watts. But this electric bicycle will move you along on errands, grab some groceries, and be rechargeable very easily at home. All the while emitting no pollution in its operation.
You might be when you charge it though - it all depends on where you get your power. Range claims are up to 20-25 miles per charge, but your mileage will vary based on the battery condition, hills, weight carried by the electric bike and speed traveled.
The looks are pretty sporty and we think it is a cool alternative to the electric golf cart for making local runs.
