Great hat for sun. Nice that it comes in sizes, so it fits my (big) head instead of just perching on top like those one-size-fits-all hats. The brim is nice and wide and due to the foam layer doesn't flop. The grey underside of the brim does a great job of minimizing glare. The fabric is light-weight and fairly cool. As with all broad-brimmed hats, it looks a bit doofy, but not unreasonably so. I like it a lot.

I bought this hat for gardening, fieldwork, and beachwear. I LOVE that I was able to buy a small size - I am a petite woman and the one-size hats out there are always too big! I usually end up buying kids hats which don't really suit me.
The protection is excellent, providing nice coverage for my shoulders and neck. The adjustable band around the head allows for an even better fit, and the chin strap provides for added security if the wind kicks up. If I had to change one thing I would add some breathing holes in the crown, but the hat is still great without them.

Overall, this is a nice hat. It has several pros, like the different sizes, different colors, nice material, very lightweight, and the detachable chin strap. However, the brim looks very sturdy on the pictures, but it is actually very floppy. I can't stand floppy hats. Also, the fabric of the inner layer of the brim seemed to be bigger than the outer layer, so the inner layer bunched up everywhere. Maybe I just had a "lemon", but I was disappointed by this hat and returned it. If you are looking for a great sunhat, check out the field hat by Sunday Afternoons. It's awesome.
